Gordon Wilson, President

Gordon Wilson has been in the Information Technology industry for more than 30 years. He has considerable experience working with governments tasked with issues related to international travel, customs & border services, immigration, passport issuance, and foreign affairs & consular operations. He is the recipient of the Ministers Award for his contributions to the automation strategy for the Customs Operations Branch in the mid-1990s.

Since 1998, Gordon has overseen the creation and growth of WorldReach Software as an international company providing solutions for consular assistance, consular & international crisis management, in-country & overseas passport issuance, and immigration & border management services.

Richard Gauthier, Director, Software Development and Client Services

Richard Gauthier is a skilled IT professional with 30 years of industry experience, over 15 of which have been in a senior management role, leading large teams. Mr. Gauthier has managed engineering and delivery of systems in the telecommunication, identity document issuance and biometric industries. He also manages support services for international clients. Furthermore, he has strong knowledge of industry standard methodologies such as CMMI, ITIL, PMBOK, Agile, and software project estimation. Mr. Gauthier is an active member of the Standards Council of Canada (SCC) Joint Technical Committee (JTC) 1/SC 37 for Biometrics.

Kim Burrett-Scott, Director, Product Management and Quality Assurance

Kim Burrett-Scott is a seasoned director with 30 years of IT experience. She has worked extensively in business analysis, project management, and client support & liaison for consular assistance and identity document issuance, as well as numerous other systems. She is also responsible for Product Management for the company, incorporating the latest in Agile project software development methodologies. Ms. Burrett-Scott has managed large-scale projects for government departments both nationally and internationally and has a proven understanding of product requirements and quality assurance. Notably, she has been WorldReach’s Project Manager for the Defence Research and Development Canada (DRDC) CSSP innovation projects FASTER-PrivBio and Chain of Trust collaborating with Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) and the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA).

Steven Grant, P. Eng., Director, Business Development

Steven Grant, P.Eng. joined WorldReach Software in 2014. He has extensive experience in identity document issuance, border security, airport passenger processing, civil registry, biometrics and consular systems as a subject matter expert with a large systems integrator and as an independent consultant. Over the past 18 plus years, Mr. Grant has worked with multiple international organizations and governments, and many developing states in the Caribbean and Latin America regions. He is a representative on the ICAO TRIP Implementation and Capacity Building Working Group (ICBWG) for travel documents and border management, and was recently appointed as Non Executive Director, Stakeholder Engagement to the International Border Management and Technologies Association (IBMATA).

Shelley Bryen, Director, Marketing

Shelley Bryen has been the Marketing Director at WorldReach Software since 2009. Having worked in the technology industry for more than 25 years, Ms. Bryen has broad experience in digital content management, marketing communications, social media, strategic alliances, product management, event management, marketing research and strategic marketing. Her industry knowledge includes embedded technology, public safety, consular, border management and digital identity verification. She is a member of the Digital ID and Authentication Council of Canada’s (DIACC) Pan-Canadian Trust Framework (PCTF) Expert Committee (TFEC).

Pauline (Barton) Bain, Director, Finance, Administration, and Human Resources

Pauline (Barton) Bain has been with WorldReach since our inception. With over 25 years of industry experience, she leads the corporate Finance, Human Resources, and Administration services. Pauline’s experience has contributed immeasurably to WorldReach’s growth as an international company, managing the many challenges of the dynamic environment of software development and international software products.

Jon Payne, Director, U.K.

Jon Payne joined WorldReach in 2018 as Director of WorldReach UK Ltd. He has over 25 years of experience in immigration policy and operations, including serving at the UK Home Office as director of visa services in the Americas and UK delegate to the EU asylum working group. He also served at FCO as Deputy Consul General, New York, and Deputy Head of Mission, Kabul. After leaving government, Jon worked as director of CSC’s global citizen services centre of excellence, and US general manager at Intercede, the digital identity specialist.

Tony Smith, Executive Advisor, Borders and Immigration

Tony Smith CBE joined WorldReach’s Global Borders and Immigration Team as an Executive Advisor and SME in 2019. He has the unique distinction of having served as Director of Ports of Entry in 2 different countries (Canada and the UK) as part of an impressive career spanning over 40 years government service in the UK Home Office and Citizenship and Immigration Canada. He was awarded the prestigious order of Commander of the British Empire by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth for his services to the safety and security of the London 2012 Olympics. Since retiring as Director General of the UK Border Force in 2013, Tony has become Managing Director of Fortinus Global Ltd, providing border management consultancy services to border agencies around the world. He is also chairman of the International Border Management and Technologies Association (IBMATA).
