Canadian firm WorldReach Software helps UK citizens abroad

(Ottawa, ON – August 28, 2001)

WorldReach Software is pleased to announce that it has been awarded a contract by the United Kingdom’s Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) for its global case management software. This database will be used to more effectively deliver consular services to UK citizens around the world. The software has been installed at UK FCO Headquarters near London and the international pilot will commence operation shortly.

“We’re a nation of travellers and global traders. In 2000, UK residents made approximately 56 million trips overseas. This database will ensure that our staff around the world have access to real time, critical information necessary to deliver a high quality consular service,” says Mr. Matthew Gould deputy head of Consular Division, FCO.

Gordon Wilson president of WorldReach Software states, “Managing information is one of the biggest drains on resources of Foreign Affairs organizations. Our case management software allows the consular staff to focus on the delivery of assistance to citizens, relieving them of the administrative burden and information paper chase typical of non-automated environments.”

WorldReach Software also supplies the consular tools and global case management software used by Canada’s Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade (DFAIT). WorldReach Software is currently in discussions with other countries for the purchase and implementation of its software. With this announcement, WorldReach’s consular software will soon be in use in over 400 sites in approximately 200 countries, making it the world’s leading provider of global case management software for Foreign Affairs or State Departments.

WorldReach Software helps ensure traveler safety and security worldwide through its technology solutions for both government consular organizations as well as individual travelers. Since 1994, WorldReach Software has provided the software used by Canada’s Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade to deliver consular services to Canadians while traveling abroad.
